Default Before I buy, can I run GW?

Hey, I'm considering buying Guild Wars, but I want to make sure I can my new laptop can run it (it's not really meant for gaming). Here are the specs:

Vista 64-bit
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2.0 ghz
4 gb RAM
Mobile Intel Series Express chipset

I'm pretty new to computers and all, so I don't know if this meets the minimum req. I'm worried about the Vista 64 bit, but other threads say that its okay... But I don't think my video card is good enough.

So, can I run Guild Wars? can I run Factions? are there any demos I can download to make sure my laptop can play it?

Thanks.

well what's your graphics card? i'm guessing you have an on-board graphic solution and that = fail. your processor should do fine as should 4 gigs of ram. gw isn't the most demanding game, but onboard graphics will get you heavy lag during combat, events, kamadan (lots of ppl), etc... and don't even think about playing on high settings with onboard graphs.

its most likely an intel gma
which can run gw
but expect to play on low settings

edit: as for demos...
i believe u can download the game client and run the "test my computer"
i havent tried this thing out myself...so i have no clue wut it does or wut it tells u
(or even if it can be run from the ncsoft website without having to download the client)

have a similar set up myself. if you have a graphics card that's modern (eg having a graphics card of almost any sort), you'll be fine. the only thing that ever crashes when I run GW is sometimes volume control breaks down when I'm running both ventrilo and gw. otherwise, you should know that prophecies is less demanding on your computer than the other two campaigns. there are trial cds at some places for sale and a lot of people will give out a trial code if you politely request one. I think there's a forum for that on here.

I should have been more specific, but yeah the graphics card is part of that Express chipset, so i guess that's what you mean by on board. Thanks for the advice, though, I'll d/l the game client and ask for a trial code.

if it is the INtel 3100 Express chipset that you have you can expect 20-25 fps on medium settings at a 1280x1024 rexolution. You may have problems playing certain areas of Nightfall as well as Eye of the North. I personally do not reccomend it, but the choice is yours.
